In honor of Earth Day, the students used recycled paper as their artistic medium.  Old magazines, newspaper, and copies are being reused and reinvented into paper chains in Grades 6-8.  They will continue to discuss how everyday objects like gum wrappers, cardboard, and plastic bags can be transformed into new objects.  Kindergarten is also using recycled paper for their flower still life.

In Grades 1-5, the students are focusing on Children’s Book Illustration and the artwork of David Wiesner.  After looking at sample artwork, the students will illustrate a book jacket design of their own.
