6th Grade Monthly News - March, 2012

As “Academically Prepared Persons who are proficient in math skills,” sixth grade is busy identifying and measuring lines, angles, and circles. Geometry is always a new and fun challenge to be submersed in. To assist them in learning definitions and concepts, students are creating their own references on the computer. Additionally, we are increasing our knowledge as “Academically Prepared Persons who have knowledge of history” by looking closely at the Pelopennesian War of Ancient Greece. Students have created story boards with partners—they are fabulous! As “Persons of Faith who have knowledge of Catholic Faith and Doctrine” and “…participate in the faith community,” we are preparing our presentation of the Stations of the Cross. This is such a special time of the Liturgical Year as we grow in faith, unity and love of our God.
