Please join us in thanking Christine Charland for chairing a very successful Jog-A-Thon fundraiser.   For these events, there are always so many people to thank and the fear that we will miss someone but here goes…there was everyone who helped with

  • count nights,
  • school rallys,
  • counting laps,
  • announcing,
  • set up,
  • and of course clean up!

We also wanted to thank the Booster Club for the delicious food! Part of what makes HNM great is how everyone comes together to help.

Debbie has been chosen as our Teacher of the Year and will be honored at an awards banquet on May 4th at Sierra La Verne Country Club at 5:30 p.m. For reservations please call the La Verne Chamber of Commerce at 909-593-5265 - tickets are $35 per person.

Increased Traffic Safety!

In an effort to increase traffic safety for our children and families in and around our school area, the City of San Dimas has  partnered with Holy Name of Mary to install Speed Feedback signs on San Dimas Canyon Road and Bonita Avenue during spring break. These permanent signs will offer state-of-the-art solutions to improve sign visibility, alert drivers and protect children at school crossings.  The Speed Feedback signs give the motorist passing through a school zone a real-time feedback as to their vehicle's speed, since monitoring of traffic speeds at the school showed the majority of motorists exceed the posted speed limits. Speed Feedback signs have proven to be an effective tool to raise driver awareness of speed as they can be programmed to address both the 25 mph limit when children are in route to and from school and for the regular speed limit at all other times.  The signs will include an electronic sign showing your speed, which will flash when you are exceeding the limit, along with "25mph When Children are Present".  In addition to Feedback signs the City will also upgrade and enhance all existing school zone signage.  Please be aware the improvements will be installed when returning to school after Spring Break.

Remember, we are trying to raise $6,000 to create a fresh water source for a small village that cannot help themselves. At this time, we have about $300.00

Thank you so much for your generosity and showing how much you care!
