Meeting Called to Order at 7:40 PM by Tom Kay

Opening prayer read by Elenor Taylor Silva

Minutes of the November, 2003 meeting were approved.

Candy announced the resignation of Ray Sandecki from School Board

Safety Report:  
 * All is well, no accidents or issues.
 * Traffic patterns are going well for student drop off.
 
 
Parish Report: presented by Kathleen Hurt
 
 * Fr. Derek is back for the Christmas season.
 * Holiday schedule of masses is set.
 * St. Vincent de Paul Society has received many gifts and
donations this season.
 * Deacon Marv's Soup Kitchen went very well
 * The parish is ready for the new year.
 * Next Monday, the Youth Center will be closed for 2 weeks
to
allow for proper handling of the stained glass windows.
 * Construction is going very well.

Principle Report: presented by Candy Kuzmickas
 * Kindergarten - stay with half day program through school
year 05-06.
 * Change to full day in school year 06-07.

Committee Reports:
Booster Club: presented by Grady Callen
 * Rolled out portable Basketball courts this month.
 * The school finished volleyball and football

Building and Grounds: presented by Ron Rake
 * Checking into electrical requirements for school.
 * Current electrical panels (switch gear) are obsolete and
need to be replaced.
 * Need to accelerate the program due to new power source
coming in with new church, so we need a new transformer to handle phase III to phase I.
 * Parish will work with school on how to pay for this
unexpected expense, because this needs to happen very soon.

Development: presented by Elenor Taylor Silva
 * Working on plans for 1st Alumni Event, to be held at the
same time as the Christmas program.
 * Alumni who update contact info will get a mug.
 * They are trying to be at a number of events this year.
 * Legend Newsletter was distributed
 * Update website with announcements of events and fun
facts.
 * Alumni were asked for donation.
 * Excellence in Education dinner is set for May 16, 2004.
 * Lee Baca will be guest speaker, MC still to be
determined.
 
Finance: presented by Jim Hansen
 * Working on Pre K and Kindergarten analysis
 * Working on next years budget
 * Need all info from committee's for next years budget
asap.
 * We are in 3rd year of 5 year plan for tuition increases
to
pay for increased teacher salaries.
 * We are 4% above archdiocese scale.
 * We were at 70% of public school scale, we are now at 80%
 * Recommended contribution to Endowment Fund of $57,000.
 * Will consider electrical requirements for next year.  

Policy and Planning: presented by Debbie Lamborghini
 * Fine tuned tuition assistance policy.
 * Fine tuned reimbursement policy for parents leaving
school.

PTG: presented by Susan Bugelli
 * Purchasing desks for 3rd grade.
 * Working on 2nd fund raiser, Dinner Dance on February 7,
2004
 * It will be held at Via Verde Country Club, with a Mardi
Gras
theme.
